Show Low Unified School District #10

Food Services

Good nutrition and academic success go together! Our Food Services Department consists of a team of food and nutrition professionals who are dedicated to our students' health, well-being, and their ability to learn. We support academic success by providing healthy meal choices while promoting lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Nutritional Excellence

All of our school campuses participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). The NSLP is a federally assisted meal program that provides nutritionally balanced, low cost or free meals to qualifying students. The food and beverages we sell or serve on our campuses meet the state and federal requirements, which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We are also strong advocates of the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act to end childhood hunger.

Summer Food Program

Show Low Unified School District is operating the Summer Food Program in your area. Any child, ages 1 to 18, can come to our sites to have breakfast or lunch at no charge. Monday through Friday, we serve breakfast from 7:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and lunch from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Nikolaus Homestead Elementary School and Show Low Junior High School. We also serve lunch at Show Low Aquatic Center, Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. We encourage all children, including those not enrolled at Show Low Unified, to come and join us for meals all summer long.
